The signing of Celtic Nations vice captain Kelvin James, 23, brings to a close Carlisle Futsal Clubs current recruitment campaign. James is the seventh new addition to be added to the squad in the last 7 days.
James spent 7 years in Carlisle Uniteds centre of excellence before his release where he went on to have trials to represent the English colleges FA. He counts Gretna and Penrith AFC amongst his former Clubs. He joined Celtic Nation at the start of the current season where he has impressed with his tenacious style of play, energy and leadership.
Coach Al Tindall is delighted with the names that he has been able to bring in ‘I think the signings we have made in the last week will really allow us to push on and make our mark in the FA National League next season. The seven new faces aren’t just lads that are keen to have a go at Futsal, these are boys that all have pedigree, are intelligent enough to learn the game, are eager to learn and ambitious to represent Carlisle nationally. We went out and scouted these players and invited them to the trials 
because we think they will suit Futsal and be able to adapt to the game. The plan now is to give them a taste of FA National League competition over our next few games and then spend all summer preparing the team for next season. With this group we think we can really announce Carlisle Futsal Club on the FA National League scene and begin to compete with the best the country has to offer.’
Your first opportunity to watch the new signings in action is Sunday 15th February when Carlisle Futsal Club host FS Derby in a 6.30pm kick off live at The Sands Centre in Carlisle. Tickets will go on sale at the Sands Centre box office and on the Clubs Official website on Monday 2nd February 9am priced at £3.90 each. Remember to get your tickets early as the venue restricts ticket sales to 120 and the games are always a sell out.
