Carlisle Futsal Club is pleased to announce the appointment of an Official Sports Therapist to look after the physical well being of its first team and academy players.
Dan Anderton of DA Human Mechanics will join the Clubs sports injury rehab and prevention team and will be present at home matches alongside the Clubs student Physio Miles Wason who has done an outstanding job during the 2014/15 season.
Dan has a wealth of experience and is currently Sports Therapist at Conference North Football Club Barrow FC. Previously he has provided his services to GB athlete Tom Farrell, to Newcastle United, the Scotland and Italy National Rugby League World Cup teams and the North West Rugby Leagues Academy Scholarship scheme that takes hand picked RL players age 14-19 and prepares them for professional Rugby League.
Dan is delighted to be joining the CFC team and adding Futsal to his impressive list of Sports Therapy expertise ‘The Club is absolutely flying in terms of its development. I’ve been monitoring the Clubs progress over recent months and they’ve brought in some really talented players which has caught everyone’s attention locally. I’m really keen to play a part in making this one of the leading Futsal Clubs in the country and am really loooking forward to start working with the lads ahead of the 2015/16 season.’
Club Chairman Al Tindall is equally excited by the appointment ‘The FA have set new standards for all FA National Futsal League Clubs to achieve in order to remain in the National League for season 2015/16. For those Clubs aspiring to play at the very top in the Superleague one of the standards is the presence of a fully qualified sports therapist at every home game and through this appointment we now not only have a highly qualified individual in Dan Anderton but also a student to work under him in Miles Wason. We continue to try and lead the way as a Futsal Club and this is just another example of how we are doing this.’
