Carlisle Futsal Club competes in the National Futsal Series (Tier 2 of the English futsal pyramid). We aspire to compete at the top Tier of futsal and are working to establish the infrastructure at our Club to compete at the highest level. As part of the FAs licensing requirements to compete in Tier 1 we have a responsibility to ensure we provide an exceptional match day event experience and as such must appoint a Scoreboard Operator to assist the match day officials.
Why is this role necessary?
The Scoreboard Operator and Announcer will play a vital role in the match day event experience with sole responsibility for managing the scoreboard and keeping the time during the match. In futsal the clock stops every time the ball goes out of play. As scoreboard operator you will essentially be the third match official on a matchday and will not only be responsible for starting and stopping the clock every time the ball goes out of play but will also be required to add goals, fouls and time outs to the electronic scoreboard as well as announce the team line ups and goalscorers on the PA system.
This is a casual role which involves a variety of hours during the season for league and cup home matches at either the Sands Centre or Penrith Leisure Centre on a Sunday afternoon. The successful candidate can expect to receive competitive hourly rate, club kit and expenses.
