Carlisle Futsal Club have today announced that Head Coach Mervyn Beacom will leave the Club.
Despite being with the Club for about 9 months Beacom had only officially been in his role as first team Head Coach since April. During that time he had shown incredible commitment and a real desire to succeed. However the Club has decided that he will not lead the Super League squad into the 2015/16 campaign.
Chairman Al Tindall would like to put on record his thanks to Beacom, in particular for the time he has invested into helping develop some of the Clubs players during his short stay:
“Mervyn was a great guy to have involved with the Club and showed real dedication to the role. Myself, Club officials and the players he has worked with are very grateful for his contribution. We had hoped to be able to convince him to take up another role heading up our highly successful Academy programme but he has decided to leave the Club instead. We part on good terms and he knows the door is open for a return in that capacity. The Clubs committee felt that the time was right to make some changes to how the first team operates in light of the Clubs inclusion in the FA Futsal Super League.”
An announcement will be made soon on his successor.
