Carlisle Futsal Club have today added a third signing to their FA National Futsal League squad ahead of transfer deadline day on 31st January in the form of talented youngster Josh Simpson, 19.
The Northern Football Alliance player spent 6 years in the Academy programme at Carlisle United before moving north of the border to sign for Queen of the South where he was part of the side that reached the final of the Scottish Youth Cup.
Simpson like other new signing Jordan Little has also represented the county and currently plays for Carlisle Futsal Clubs partner football Club Carlisle City FC. Simpsons signing takes the number of City players in the current squad to two with Ryan Errington already signed on. Two other City players are expected to sign before the end of the week.
Simpson will be another exciting young addition to the squad and has already displayed the kind of attitude that the coaching staff are looking for. After completing the paperwork he commented ‘I’m just looking forward to getting going and adapting my game to Futsal. I want to help the team to success.’
