COMMUNITY: Cumbria University Sports Rehab link formed

New link will see club members receive free rehab sessions

Carlisle Futsal Club members will now benefit from an exciting new link created with the University of Cumbria. The link will allow club members to benefit from free 45min sports rehab sessions. The sessions will be performed by students on the Sports Rehabilitation course, under the guidance of a fully qualified tutor. The aim is to help students practice the skills they have learnt in the classroom by applying them in real life situations. The benefit to members is educated advice on any sports injury they have.

The clubs first team will also benefit from the link. The University students will be provided with the opportunity to be part of the Carlisle Futsal Club match day team providing first aid support to the clubs playing personnel during an event. This is another step towards the club creating a professional environment and is great experience for students to have on their CV. Carlisle join the FA National Futsal League this September and will represent Carlisle across England and with The Sands Centre hosting home fixtures it is expected Futsal will really take off locally as a spectator sport.

Any club member who wishes to make an appointment should contact Al Tindall on 07894799509. Appointments are available between 1pm and 7pm on a Wednesday. All under 16s must be accompanied by an adult. This offer is also open to any parent of our academy players.
