We are delighted to be able to announce the expansion of the Club as this December we launch Carlisle Futsal Club Womens Squad.
The squad will be formed from talented players around Cumbria who want to represent Carlisle in FA National Superleague and FA Futsal Cup competition for the coming season. There will be open trials held in December with training due to commence in early January 2019.
Club Chairman Al TIndall is well aware of the talent in Cumbria ‘Womens football has always been really strong in Cumbria. We know that there is real Futsal talent out there as well from the womens leagues that we have ran in the past and from the great work the local youth leagues do in regards to girls Futsal. Those young players currently finish their Futsal journey at 14 and many are left wanting a progression that currently doesnt exist. There is not only a pool of talented adult players we can select from but there is a steady stream of youth talent coming through as well. Now is a great time for the Club to launch our womens and girls section with the recent release of the new FA Futsal Strategy which aims to see the creation of a womens national team and the expansion and development of womens FA Futsal competition.’
The Club has built up a strong backroom team with experienced coaches from womens Football making the transition over to Futsal. They will be supported by the Clubs experienced Futsal Coaching team.

About the Club
Carlisle Futsal Club is Cumbrias only Futsal Club. We run a full junior academy for boys with centres in Carlisle and West Cumbria with players travelling from Scotland and South lakes to be part of our Club. Our mens team competed in the FA National League previously and will relaunch once a player pool of Futsal players has been created throguh our academy programme. Our Womens team will play in National league competition, cups and tournaments and there are plans to launch a girls academy to feed our womens team with players of the future.
