Carlisle Futsal Club and Carlisle City Football Club announce exclusive integration partnership that will see both clubs jointly promote and support each other’s Football and Futsal activity in the local community.
Carlisle Futsal Club and Carlisle City Football Club today announced an integration of the clubs development plans that will see both parties work together to increase participation in both formats of Football Association sport.
Carlisle Futsal Club, an FA Charter Standard Club, have been at the forefront of the development of Futsal in the area in the last 2 years putting in place a full academy programme, running adult leagues with over 300 participants, developing U14s and U12s teams and creating an adult mens team that now competes at the highest level of domestic competition in the FA National Futsal League. Carlisle City FC boast an impressive club structure with 3 senior sides, 14 boys teams and 4 girls teams and have nearly 300 players and are an FA Charter Standard Community Club. Both clubs share the same 3 year objective of progressing up the divisions of their respective sports league pyramid and one of the ideas is that the sharing of players at every level in our club will enhance the prospects of us achieving this.
Both clubs already have excellent links in the local community including links with Kingmoor School, Morton School, Carlisle Utd FITC, Community Reach and Carlisle Youth Zone and will continue to help each other in forming new partnerships and promote each other’s activities in the local community.
Al Tindall Carlisle Futsal Club Chairman commented ‘The objective of this partnership is to align our activities and work together to benefit the whole community. Far too often we see local clubs competing against each other which is great on the pitch but off the pitch is very short sighted. To do the best for the local community we need to be working together. Both Clubs have huge ambition but there is a huge amount of work to do in order to put the infrastructure in place to realise these ambitions. This includes addressing the dire situation with facilities in the City and we stand a better chance of success in achieving this by working together. This partnership is ultimately about creating and offering routes for local adults and children in Carlisle to progress to the highest levels in both Football and Futsal and we are delighted to be working with Carlisle City FC to do this.’
