Rotation of position is a fundamental of Futsal and crucial for disrupting defences and creating space and time to score goals.
The rotation movements in the adult game are usually well rehearsed and require advanced tactical knowledge. For this reason its not possible to expect junior teams to rotate like an adult Futsal team but we can introduce the concept of rotation and teach the individual responsibilities of width, depth and penetration. These 3 principals are the building blocks needed to progress into the more advanced tactical attacking systems which incorporate rotations. Here we explain how we get our teams at around age 12 to start to rotate as a team to displace defenders and create space to exploit.
