Player and coach educationDevelopment

As well as competing you and your team will have the opportunity to train every week at our Bitts Park training facility for free. You will be given access to the Clubs Futsal curriculum and session plans and in partnership with the Clubs experienced coaching staff develop a winning team.

How does it work?STEP ONE
Build your squad

Each of our leagues has 6 teams and we have leagues at u10, u12, u14, u17 and mens. In January each year we recruit the players for our leagues and by March we have a full roster of players keen to get started. Every player then attends a training session which all of our coaches attend. After this session the coaches get together and agree on which players they want to draft into their squad one by one. Each squad must have a balance of playing experience, ability, positions and friendship groups. Once this process is complete the squads are fixed for the season.

STEP TWO
BEGIN TRAINING

Club nights are a Monday and a Thursday and fixtures and training will take place on these nights each week. It is up to you as coach to plan your teams training out for the season and then deliver it. Do not worry if you do not have any coaching experience. All you need is to be a good communicator and willing to learn. Our experienced coaching team will help you every step of the way with support, advice, resources and tactical workshops.

STEP THREE
COMPETE

Now it's time to transfer what you are doing in training into a competitive game environment. Not every team is going to win every game though. Thats why the focus for anyone coaching with Carlisle Futsal Club is always on player development and not winning. Squads are assembled to ensure all teams can compete with one another. Your only job as a coach is to ensure all of your players love the game of Futsal.

Sound like you?FUTSAL COACH
Personality Profile

Not all coaches are the same and we understand that. We don't dictate how you coach but we do have some rules to ensure we maintain a Club 'environment' and 'culture' that has grown to be synonymous with our reputation. We ask that all coaches always follow our club values of being open, honest, collaborative, innovative and dependable. In addition on a matchday we ask for only positive encouragement from the sidelines with coaching interventions during either breaks in play or timeouts. Thats it! If it sounds like you we would love to hear from you.

BENEFITS
FOR YOU

All of our coaches are volunteers but that doesn't mean that there aren't plenty of perks! As a coach in our leagues you will get free Club kit and a free place for your child if they play in our leagues. You will also become part of an award winning Club and team of coaches who are always there to help, support and develop.
