Carlislefutsal.com is delighted to be able to exclusively announce the launch of Carlisle Futsal Clubs first academy centre operating outside of Carlisle. The new performance centre will open on Friday 1st June in Workington with an initial intake of u8 and u9 players (2017/18 season).
Officials at the Club have been busy putting in place the infrastructure required to ensure the Performance Centre can deliver the high quality coaching content which has become synonymous with the Carlisle Futsal Club brand since the Club launched in 2012. Al Tindall Club Chairman commented;
‘This is a really positive news for young people in West Cumbria. We have long been aware of the great work going on out West by those running
Futsal leagues as it has provided a steady stream of talented players for our Carlisle Academy. We have been keen to replicate what we do in Carlisle in West Cumbria to help support the great work already going on out there to promote and develop Futsal. We have spent the last 12 months recruiting and training up coaches who we know can deliver our coaching curriculum using our Club coaching philosophy. We’ve also recently been able to strike up a fantastic partnership with Moorclose Community Centre who have one of the best Futsal facilities in the region which provides us with real scope for growth.’
The Clubs Futsal Performance Centres are delivered in positive learning environments where players can take part in game related practices involving individual and team challenges designed to encourage players to improve their technique, individuality, communication skills, physicality, decision making and game related tactical choices. Players are guided through the Clubs unique coaching curriculum by fully qualified and experienced Carlisle Futsal Club coaches.
Expressions of interest for a place in the u8/9 session launching Friday 1st June 6-7pm held at Moorclose Community Centre Workington are now open however places are limited. Please register your interest here.
