Carlislefutsal.com is delighted to announce the appointment of Jose Sanchez as new head coach of Carlisle Futsal Club u12/13 Academy Squad for the 2017/18 season.
Mr Sanchez as he is known during the day in his role as a Sports Leader at Newlaithes Junior School in Carlisle has built up a strong coaching reputation locally and is hugely popular with the children he teaches. He led the Newlaithes School u11 team to their recent success in the Kids Cup which saw them win the national trophy at Wembley beating Wycombe in the final 3-0. This was after winning local and regional competitions.
A Sports Science graduate in high performance Football Fitness Coaching (professional level) Jose brings a strong academic background to combine with his coaching experience. He has had success spells coaching Futsal in Spain with the U14-U12 squad in Granada College (Spain) winning one league title and finishing as runners up in the Granada County Cup.
Club Chairman Al Tindall believes Jose is a great fit for the Club ‘We are always on the lookout for great people to join our team. In Jose we’ve found something quite rare in Carlisle – someone who has great experience in Futsal Coaching and also fits our person profile for the type of coach and character we want at our Club. We made getting Jose on board with us a priority for us over the last few months as we believe he can add real value to our Club and more importantly the players we have in our academy. Jose understands our project and we are delighted that he has agreed to be a part of it.’
Jose was sold after meeting with the Clubs heirachy in June ‘After meeting Jon and Al and hearing of their targets, enthusiasm as well as their approach to futsal, I was really keen to join the Club and provide as much help as possible. I am looking forward to meeting the squad and getting started.’
Jose will link up with the u12/13 squad as Head Coach in late August.
The Clubs Academy coaching team now consists of Jon Reay, Darren Gaffney, Al Tindall, Ste Dorans, Mike Baines (GK), Neil Dickinson, Louis Sproatt, Ste Cairns and Richard Penney working across all of our age groups.
